Gormley Group were commended in 2002 for its cladding to the granite towers of 2-3 Triton Square. The Zimbabwe Black granite was formed to produce elliptical rain screen towers. The towers were the prime element of the buildings aesthetic. The architects ‘Shephard Robson’ were quoted as saying that by using stone as a cladding element cost a third less than a standard, fully glazed curtain wall.

A masterpiece of Post Modernism by the late James Stirling.  The buildings exterior walls are clad using a sandstone rain screen.
